But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. KJV
Delight: A high degree of pleasure, or satisfaction of mind; joy.
Meditate: soliloquize,(To soliloquize is to talk at length to yourself). utter, mutter
We are to enjoy and get a high degree of satisfaction when we talk about His Word. As Christians, this is natural. How many times have you been down and started reminding yourself of His promises? As our focus turns to what He says, our minds are encouraged and our hope is restored. As we habitually utter His Word, we are releasing the power of that into the very atmosphere. Jeremiah 1:12 says " I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it". AMP
So one way we delight our Lord is to speak His word, so He can perform it in our lives. It is a partnership; we speak His word, He does what He promised in that word. We get the easy part, He gets the supernatural, impossible part!
Instead you thrill to God’s Word, you chew on Scripture day and night. MSG
But his delight is in the law of the Lord,And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. AMP
Instead, his delight is in the LORD's instruction, and he meditates on it day and night. Holman Christian Standard Bible
Today's Challenge: Take a scripture and mutter it to yourself. All day. In the car, at lunch, shopping and at home. Holy Spirit has a revelation for you today and our Lord wants to perform what you are saying.
