Day 30 - He Will Hear Us

Jodee Schrlau Delight encouragement waiting on God

Job 22:26-27
Job 22:26-28 (AMP)
Then you will have delight in the Almighty,
And you will lift up your face to God.
“You will pray to Him, and He will hear you,
And you will pay your vows.
“You will also decide and decree a thing, and it will be established for you;
And the light [of God’s favor] will shine upon your ways.

 When we started this journey of delighting in the Lord, I prayed that God would unveil a hidden desire He has place in your heart and give you what you need to see that desire come to pass.

Because you have delighted in the Lord, as you bring that desire before God in prayer, He will hear you.   And if He hears you, He will grant you the request which you ask for.  This goes for any desire that is in line with His plan and purpose for your life.

 This is the [remarkable degree of] confidence which we [as believers are entitled to] have before Him: that if we ask anything according to His will, [that is, consistent with His plan and purpose] He hears us.  And if we know [for a fact, as indeed we do] that He hears and listens to us in whatever we ask, we [also] know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted to us] the requests which we have asked from Him.  1 John 5:14-15 Amplified Bible (AMP)

You have prayed and received your request by faith, now what?  You decree it and it will be established for you.  You have probably heard that 2020 is the year of the mouth.  There is power in the words we speak and they carry even more weight this year.  Start decreeing your thing.  Next, go to God for an action plan, because faith requires action.  It won't be enough just to decree and believe.  God wants to work with you to establish your thing and He has a plan to do it.  Once you have His plan, you can rest assured that God's favor will shine upon that plan.

When I worked at Hancock's, we had a conference call every Tuesday.  The district manager would go over successes and failures of the last week, upcoming events and goals, and answer any questions that came up.  I have adopted that same principal at jodelights!.  Every Monday morning I have a "conference call".  I get my coffee and sit at a table, rather than my prayer closest, because it helps me look at this time as a business meeting.  I start by inviting  the Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit, and the angels assigned to me to the meeting.  I decree and declare my God given desires, mission and vision. We celebrate successes, examine failures, and review goals.  I ask for input and listen.  Some days the connection is clear and I feel we had a great call.  Other times the connection isn't as clear and I have to rely on what I already know and have planned.  I limit my time to 1 - 1 1/2 hours so I stay on point.

If you are struggling with the action/goal setting part of seeing your desires happen, you can try this too.  Grab your coffee, notebook and pen, and set your timer.  Call your meeting to order by inviting and acknowledging who is on the call with you.  Ask for input. Remember if you ask, He hears, and when He hears, He answers.  Decree and declare your purpose and desire.  Then listen-write down the thoughts that run through your mind.  Later you can take that information and form it into actions steps, but for now, just write it all down.  End by thanking them for coming, and send the angels out to accomplish their part of the plan.

Exercise in Delight Schedule a planning session and invite the Father, Jesus, Holy Spirit, and the angels assigned to this desire.  With their help, write your decree and set your goals.
