September: Cookie Countdown Begins!

There are many reason why September is my favorite month of the year.

Autumn colors signal a time of transition into a new season and a fresh start.
Bonfires and cocoa, hayrides and sweaters.
It's my birthday month. 66 this year.
It's jodelights! anniversary, 8 years this month.
September 29 is National Coffee Day! I'll be indulging in a new flavor from The Gourmet Cupboard. I'm sure you will find a flavor you love.

If you freeze some from each month or make a double batch, you will have a variety for your cookie tray by Christmas.

To freeze cookies, allow them to cool completely. Place cookies in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze for about 30 minutes or until frozen solid. Then pack them in freezer bags or an airtight container. Place parchment paper between layers for easier thawing. To use, thaw cookies completely or pop in the microwave for a few minutes. You can also freeze the cookie dough, just wrap it up tightly.
