d.r.e.A.m.-  Ask!

You've dreamed, you've brooded over it, you've studied and researched it, now ask!  Here are just a few places that we are encouraged to ask.

This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.  And if we know that he hears us--whatever we ask--we know that we have what we asked of him. John 5:14-15 NIV

Up to this time you have not asked a [single] thing in My Name [as presenting all that I Am]; but now ask and keep on asking and you will receive, so that your joy (gladness, delight) may be full and complete. John 16:24 AMPC

I tell you the solemn truth, the person who believes in me will perform the miraculous deeds that I am doing, and will perform greater deeds than these, because I am going to the Father.

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:12-13 NET

Why do we need to ask?  We already have been with the Father and He gave us this dream.  Why ask him for what He already said He wanted to do?  Why doesn't He just do it?  By  asking God to fulfill the desire of our heart, we are acknowledging our dependency on Him.  If God just fulfilled those dreams and we never had to ask/pray, we would begin to take thing for granted and that would be a disaster for us.  He could do it without us, but we could not do it without Him.  An since He knows this, many times, He won't do it without us asking.  As we spend time in prayer asking, God will use those prayer times to grow us.  He will show us places in our hearts and lives that may hinder that dream and give us ideas and strategies to accomplish our dream.

That brings us to the final letter. M-Move when He says to move.  Do what He says to do.  It may not make sense to you but remember, He is all about the journey and fellowship with you.  He know exactly what it take to make those dream happen, you have asked, He is working behind the scenes to make it happen and He wants to prepared you to enjoy that dream to it's fullness.  Let's used the house buying example again.  You have the dream of buying a house, and as you ask, He tells you to take an adult education class on pottery.  That doesn't seem to have anything to do with your dream of buying a house.  But possibly, a person who owns your dream house is in that class, or a real estate agent, or a plumber you may need, or any number of other things.  So take that class and do those things that don't make sense to you right now, trusting that He is working all things together for your good.

God wants to see the dreams He placed in your heart happen, maybe more than you do.  As you D.R.E.A.M. with Him you will be amazed at what will happen.  May your DREAMS become reality in 2018!  Happy New Year!
