Each month I share highlights from My One Word Journal. My Word for the year is BECOME.
This year has been an eye opener for me. As I started the year with my word, it was all about me. My focus was on what I wanted to become and what I needed to do to become what I felt God wanted from me. But as my journey progressed, my focus changed. It's not so much what I've become, it is who Jesus has become for me.
Scriptures:
I can guarantee this truth: This is what will be done for someone who doesn't doubt but believes what he says will happen: He can say to this mountain, 'Be uprooted and thrown into the sea,' and it will be done for him. Mark 11:23 God's Word Translation
“If God gives such attention to the appearance of wildflowers—most of which are never even seen—don’t you think he’ll attend to you, take pride in you, do his best for you? What I’m trying to do here is to get you to relax, to not be so preoccupied with getting, so you can respond to God’s giving. People who don’t know God and the way he works fuss over these things, but you know both God and how he works. Steep your life in God-reality, God-initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns will be met. Matthew 6:30-33 MSG

Art Journaling Page:
I was so busy decorating, cooking, making candy and cookies that I didn't do my art journaling page. Instead I used it as a memory page.
Action Plan:
Believe and let Jesus BECOME what I need each day.
- Decorate and celebrate Jesus birth
- Trust in His provision
- Give generously, not gifts only

My Favorite Steps & Review
Christmas decorations, we went all out this year.
Made cookies with my sister-in-law.
Watched Hallmark Christmas movies with my other sister-in-law.
Family time: We hosted Thanksgiving, a brunch, and Christmas. My son came home before he moved to Germany. We had brunch for our family here to celebrate his dream coming true. My other son and his wife came from Denver for Christmas. My daughter, sister, nephew, mom, aunt and uncle, brothers and sister-in-laws all were able to come to some of the celebrations.
