It's fall y'all! My focus is turning from the garden and canning to inside projects. Some days, I'm back in the studio, working on sewing and quilting projects. Other days, I get lost in writing and creating fun stuff for you with Canva. But before I start the day, you'll find me on the porch with a cup of coffee and my notebook; talking to Jesus and planning my day. I end it the same way; coffee, notebook, Jesus, and (if I'm lucky), a cookie.
September 29 is one of my favorite days because it is National Coffee Day! I'll be indulging in a new flavor from The Gourmet Cupboard. There are around 28 flavors to choose from!
One of the things I've been working on is a Cookie Countdown. It is a FREE recipe book you can download, and contains recipes for some of the BEST COOKIES Ever!
What makes these the BEST COOKIES EVER? The Gourmet Cupboard Mixes and the secret ingredient —LOVE. Start with a TGC Cookie Mix, just add eggs and butter then stir and bake. They will be the best cookies ever because you made them with love.
With a few extra ingredients, you can bake a variety of cookies from the same mix. Try Mounds Cookies (so good!) or Chocolate Orange Drops starting with Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix. Or rich Tiramisu Cookies from the Scone Mix.

If you freeze some from each month or make a double batch, you will have a variety for your cookie tray by Christmas.
To freeze cookies, allow them to cool completely. Place cookies in a single layer on a baking sheet and freeze for about 30 minutes or until frozen solid. Then pack them in freezer bags or an airtight container. Place parchment paper between layers for easier thawing. To use, thaw cookies completely or pop in the microwave for a few minutes. You can also freeze the cookie dough, just wrap it up tightly.
And because nobody wants the cookies to stop at Christmas, I've also included recipes for January and February.
