Do you have a Spring Bucket List?
A Bucket list is all the things you would like to do this spring. It might include last years "I wish I had done that" and "maybe next year" ideas you didn't get to do. A bucket list is a great way to be sure those items don't get pushed to next years list again.
One of my favorite scriptures is Proverbs 3:5.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.
What does a bucket list have to do with that?
I'm glad you asked! "In all your ways acknowledge Him" includes letting Him help you make your Spring/Summer bucket list!

My Summary
On our whole, entire journey through this life we are to recognize the rights and authority of God, and His status as our Lord. We are to be in agreement with His plans and express our gratitude for His goodness toward us.
Most of the time, we think these scriptures only apply to the BIG in our life: big decisions, big problems, our destiny and life plans. But I believe it doesn't just apply to the BIGs in our life, but includes the everyday stuff too. Proverbs 8:30 says "I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him. Not only does he have great plans for your BIGS, but He has awesome plans for you daily. By acknowledging Him in all our ways, we give Him the authority over our daily life.. Acknowledging Him as Lord of our lives isn't just following a list of do's and don'ts. This acknowledging gives him the kind of authority a parent has to take their kids on a trip to the amusement park or to the beach. We give Him the right to create wonder filled days and experiences for us. He already has the authority and right to do so, we are just coming into agreement with Him.
Creating your Spring Bucket List
Start by listing all the things you would like to do, no restrictions, just free style brainstorming. Do a little research into events happening in your area, talk to some friends about their lists and check out Pinterest boards.
Then cross off all the crazy stuff and things you know you wouldn't do. Things like visiting Mars or white water rafting if you are not physically able to do it. Prioritize the rest of your list in to 3 categories: (1) like to, (2) maybe's, and (3) nice idea but not really. Put your 1 & 2's ideas on your list in the order you would like them to happen.
Next, ask the Lord what He wants on that list. What are some of the fun things He would like to do with you? Where would He like to take you, experiences He would like for you to have? As you spend some time with him creating your list, remember the "lean not to your own understanding" part. Chances are, some what He will put on your list is beyond what you think can happen. Put it down anyway and trust in Him with all your heart to make it happen.
Now that you have your list, acknowledge Him. Recognize His right and authority to create the adventure's we crave by praising and worshiping Him as creator and Lord of our life. Acknowledge His grace, mercy and goodness that is new for us every morning and never runs out. Take Him with you as you fulfill the items on your list and be ready when He tells you it is time to enjoy one of His.
