hey, I Resemble that Remark!

I enjoy quotes.  They inspire and make me laugh. Someday I hope I can write stuff that others will want to quote. But for now, here are some quotes from some quote-worthy folks.  These made me think "hey-I resemble that remark!"    “Behind every successful woman is a substantial amount of coffee.” – Stephanie Piro    “When your quilting up a life, you sometimes got to start with any piece you can get your hands on.” ―Jonathan Odell   You will never reach your destination if you stop and throw stones at every dog that barks. -  Winston Churchill    “May...

Sabbath Rest-Time to Recuperate and Refresh

Remember the good ol' days, when Sunday was a day of rest.  All the stores were closed. We went to church and came home to have Sunday dinner. In our house, a nap followed dinner.  Supper was popcorn and soda while watching the Wonderful World of Walt Disney.  Other times, Sunday was spent with family and friends, playing games and fellowshipping.  We didn't acknowledge it as Sabbath Rest, but that is what it was. You can access those promises and activated them in your life by your profession of faith. Your faith is not in His promises alone but in the one who made those promises. You can rest assured that He is reliable, trustworthy, and faithful to keep His word.  This verse also...

Serendipity: the Favor of God

Serendipity! When I first saw today word, I smiled. I love saying this word; it just make me happy to say it. Serendipity!                                                       Serendipity!                                                                 Serendipity!!!  But as I sat down to write about it, I realized I wasn't sure what it was.  So, I grabbed a cup of coffee and did some research.  It was serendipitous what I found! When I first started thinking about this, I was concerned.  Is the concept of serendipity even biblical?  As I prayed about it, Holy Spirit showed me a few examples of serendipity in the Bible. Ruth just happened to glean...
