Teapot Garden Art

Last month, we started clearing out our garage in preparation for a garage sale. In one of the cabinets, I found some teapots that had been forgotten. I remembered seeing where teapots were used as garden art, so over to Pinterest I went to check out some ideas. Using these ideas at inspiration, I created my own teapot garden art! I saved some of my favorites to this Pinterest board - check it out.  https://www.pinterest.com/jodeeschrlau/garden-ideas/repurposed-recycled-or-salvaged/   The teapot I choose to use had a chipped spout, so I didn't want to sell it in the garage sale. A Scarlet Tangier Brings a Message of Hope

This spring, we had a new visitor to our yard, a Scarlet Tangier.  I had never seen one and had to look it up to find out what kind of bird it was. Here is what I found in All About Birds. Male Scarlet Tanagers are among the most blindingly gorgeous birds in an eastern forest in summer, with blood-red bodies set off by jet-black wings and tail. The grass is greener, the flowers are brighter, even the...

Prepared to Receive More

In my last couple of blogs, I wrote about preparing for the something "new" that God is doing.  Today, I want to share a testimony of one of the ways that looked in my life. Last fall, I felt that I was to open an Etsy shop.  So I took some classes on Creative Live about running an Etsy shop.  I set it up, listed the products I had, ran an ad, and prayed over it.  I had over 10,000 views but no sales or even likes.  I was ready to shut it down.  After all, I reasoned, if...

Prepare for Something New, pt 2

Last time, we talked about the first command Joshua gave the camp.    “Go throughout the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare your provisions, for within three days you are to cross this [river] Jordan, to go in to take possession of the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess [as an inheritance].’” Joshua 1:11 AMP     The first time the messengers went throughout the camp, they were commanding the people to prepare physically to take the land. The next message was to prepare mentally.   Joshua 3:5 New International Version (NIV)   Joshua told...
